By Associated Press Story Created: Jun 9, 2009 at 12:27 PM CDT Story Updated: Jun 9, 2009 at 3:46 PM CDT A tied vote in the race for mayor of Bude has been settled with the drawing of the winning number by incumbent Earl Case. The drawing was held between Case and an appointed representative of challenger Arthur Mac Littleton, who refused to participate in the tiebreaker. With both drawers attempting to get closest to 10, Case drew an eight, while Littleton’s appointed participant drew only a two. The mayor’s race ended June 2 with 144 votes for each candidate. Littleton has announced that he will challenge the results of the election. The drawing the break the tie was held Friday.
